We were and still are convinced that every project must not be considered as an end in itself experience, but as an unstoppable process which, even when it has apparently come to an end, knows how to call itself into question, compromising the results up to that moment achieved. And it is constantly putting oneself on the line that becomes a priority for those who embrace this profession, since it allows them to face a research path that matures with other experiences and professionalism, producing new enthusiasms and developments.

Retracing these projects therefore means taking stock of the movement of ideas, that movement in which the designer is inevitably overwhelmed over time and which must learn and know how to grasp .... smell and get used to sniffing their flavor. It also means giving timely answers that are certainly not complete and with all the limitations always present. However, this movement forces us to compare, to reflect, to understand if something is cooking or if, how much of what is processed is only functional to a voracious and empty market. We think that design must highlight all its complexity and completeness, leaving out the question of the small or large project, and be traced back to an area that finds its meaning first of all in the relationship with society and with those who benefit from it.

Eravamo e siamo tuttora convinti che ogni progetto non deve essere considerato come un’esperienza fine a stessa, ma come un processo inarrestabile che, anche quando apparentemente è giunto al termine, sa rimettersi in discussione compromettendo i risultati fino a quel momento raggiunti. Ed è il mettere e mettersi continuamente in gioco che diventa prioritario per chi abbraccia questa professione, poiché permette di affrontare un percorso di ricerca che matura con altre esperienze e professionalità producendo nuovi entusiasmi e sviluppi. Ripercorrere questi progetti pertanto, significa fare il punto sul movimento delle idee, quel movimento in cui il progettista viene inevitabilmente travolto nel tempo e che deve imparare e saper cogliere.... odorare ed abituarsi a carpirne il sapore. Significa anche dare risposte tempestive certamente non complete e con tutti i limiti sempre presenti. Tuttavia tale movimento ci obbliga al confronto, a riflettere, a capire se qualcosa bolle in pentola o se, quanto di ciò che si elabora sia solo funzionale ad un mercato vorace e vuoto. Pensiamo che la progettazione deve porre in luce tutta la sua complessità e completezza, tralasciando la questione del piccolo o grande progetto, ed essere ricondotta ad un ambito che trova il suo significato prima di tutto nel rapporto con la società e con chi ne fruisce.
